If the idea of flesh-searing laser removal is the only thing standing between you and your dream of a special and unique tarot-card inspired tattoo, rejoice: A Canadian Ph.D. student is developing a topical cream that will cause tattoos to fade away painlessly and cheaply, reports CBC News.
The cream targets macrophages, the cells that absorb and retain ink. So far it’s only been tested on tattooed pig ears and isn’t yet ready for human consumers — but the product is on track to hit the market by the time the full weight of your decision to tattoo Katy Perry’s Left Shark on your arm sets in.
