Universal recently released a trailer for Unfriended, a teen horror movie about vengeance that resembles the tragic real-life narrative of Rehtaeh Parsons, with echoes of the Steubenville case: In the film, a teenage girl is driven to suicide after a compromising video of her drunken escapades gets shared and vicious social-media shaming ensues. Unlike in real life, in the Hollywood version, the victim gets revenge on her abusers by using the exact medium with which they humiliated her. Watch the truly terrifying trailer and send it to every teen you know.
