It’s well known that the Twilight books and movies inspired E.L James to write Fifty Shades of Grey. So the fact that Fifty Shades star Jamie Dornan and Robert Pattinson are IRL friends means that the universe is somehow in perfect alignment. Dornan tells Variety that while Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey are not the same thing (whatever helps you sleep at night), he and Pattinson became friends after Fifty Shades of Grey filmed and have spent a drunken evening together: “I don’t remember what we talked about the last time I saw him. I think we just got drunk.”
