
Wasting no time to make this year its most self-actualized year ever, Urban Outfitters merrily plopped itself at the center of some media backlash that includes a super-sexy trendy term (thigh gap). The U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority banned an Urban Outfitters ad for showing too much thigh gap while advertising a pair of underwear. The independent advertising regulator called the picture “irresponsible and harmful.” And Urban Outfitters smirked and beamed, basking in the high praise, but not pausing too long before its scandal-elves schemed new plans to make 2015 their most disreputable ever.
