At the Blue Jasmine premiere in Paris yesterday, the lead actress showed up in a dreamy-yet-haunting gown from Christopher Kane’s resort 2014 collection. The dress alone was a showstopper, with a blush pink base covered in a sheer, asymmetrical layer of black tulle and intricate detailing that made her look ensnared in a cobweb. She tied her hair back into a neat ponytail and added nude heels. If Tim Burton were to direct a movie involving a chic, good “queen of spiders,” it would look something like this.
