Denim will never die. Not only because good denim is a key wardrobe ingredient of which you can never have too much (see: a certain red-carpet couple circa 2001), but also because it can — and should — last forever.
If you’ve ever been a denim stan yourself, you’re sure to recognize the icon that is 7 For All Mankind. In celebration of 20 years of 7, we asked five totally different yet totally stylish creatives to reflect on their denim days of yore, and which 7 For All Mankind pieces they’ll be seen in forever.

Through times of gaucho pants and flip flops, it took Tori a while to figure out what “style” really meant for her. Now, she’s a fan of throwback trends and playing around with bold color. Tori would wear the below outfit in an everyday circumstance, but ideally somewhere she can show off her 7’s — like at a Broadway show or an important meeting.
Tori on dressing retro: So many brands I love are channeling previous decades for their latest lines. I love that I can immediately feel confident in the quality, fit, and detail of something that still screams “retro chic.” That’s an easy purchase, if you ask me.
Tori on color: In New York, everyone loves black (including me!). But especially as spring approaches, I’m trying to embrace shades I didn’t typically wear before. I like to start with a brand I love and trust, then seek out unique pieces I might have overlooked in the past.
Tori on her 7’s: I’m honestly shook that 7 For All Mankind re-released their 080 style denim. The bootcut is absolutely back, and these are the most high-quality, uniquely detailed jeans you can get. Paired with this tailored boyfriend blazer and you’ve got what I call a “lewk.” Everyone knows I only wear blazers when I’m looking to impress.

For AJ, creative direction isn’t a job, it’s a lifestyle. When he’s not judging the latest movie trailers on his podcast, he can be found taking pictures around town or watching a basketball game — most likely in this exact outfit. AJ used to be a “skater shoes and graphic tees” kinda guy, but he has since become a man of what we like to call “Saturday street style.”
AJ on outfit balance: I like keeping my wardrobe simple and using sneakers and accessories to elevate. The days of crazy, sparkled-pocket designs are over, so when you’re looking for a new pair of jeans, make sure they’re ones you won’t mind wearing everyday. Keep it simple, and make sure they fit right.
AJ on style inspo: I’m always looking to my favorite athletes for outfit inspiration, and social media is a great tool to see where the trends are. Honestly, just walking around Brooklyn gives me some great street style inspiration.
AJ on his 7’s: This look is all about simplicity, quality, and comfort. I’d much rather invest in a few solid staple pieces than deal with the BS of something lower quality. This jacket is something I can dress up or down, and a slim fit of well-made denim will never get old.

Some might relate to having a “goth phase” in high school, but Kat credits hers for her ability to take style risks. She’s notorious for going bold, black, and perfectly accessorized. Her fashion inspiration typically comes from the fashion week runways, but she says this outfit is more of an everyday look, for meetings or dinners alike.
Kat on her absolute best style tip: I almost always wear my jeans tucked in with a belt. Never underestimate the power of a belt to pull a simple look together.
Kat on style evolution: 7 For All Mankind has a special place in my heart — my first pair of premium jeans were 7’s! When I was 15, I came to New York with my mom and bought a pair; I can still remember how excited I was to wear my new 7’s to school the next week. I’ve always been known to invest in one premium blue jean and one premium black jean each year. That’s all you really need.
Kat on her 7’s: This outfit is perfect for my every day. I can wear it to work and feel confident in meetings, then head to dinner in Brooklyn and feel just as prepared. I love the fun pattern of the top paired with the classic high-waist jean and simple accessories.

Remy on style icons: Growing up, my mom was a badass creative director who happened to be a fashion buyer in Paris as a side-gig. She taught me to stand out and find my own unique style in a sea of patterned leggings and baggy tees.
