Look, correlation does not equal causation, but all I’m saying is that last week Leonardo DiCaprio said something indecipherable to the pope in terrible Italian, and now all of a sudden Pope Francis wants to try to make it in Hollywood (Holywood?).
According to Variety, the pope is set to make his acting debut by playing himself in the new religious movie Beyond the Sun. The family-friendly film reimagines the gospels for a youth audience, so it’s like Veggie Tales, but hopefully less creepy.
