This Progressive Music Video Features a Sex Scene With Two Cowboys [NSFW]

The new Indiana Queen single, “I Don’t Know What to Do,” brings new definition to the phrase ride ‘em, cowboy. A video by the alt country band shows two cowboys getting steamy, harness and all. And the video is breaking down important barriers in the country-music scene, according to the Huffington Post.

The band’s leader, Kevin Thorton, is an openly queer man. And the songs featured on their second album, I Built a Fire (to be released February 16), make a progressive, pro-LGBTQ statement not often featured in conservative country music.

Thorton told the Huffington Post that he gained inspiration for the theme of “I Don’t Know What to Do” around a “noir cowboy and horse fantasy.” And to bring reality to fantasy, he recruited his friends and real-life couple Phillipe and Nick to star in the video.

The YouTube commentary for the video has been overwhelmingly positive from country music fans and allies alike. Hmm, it seems as if people like when pop-culture sexual representation is a little less heteronormative. So, when it comes to making groundbreaking videos, Indiana Queen might just, in fact, know what to do.
