Despite condemning the “thuggery” of the fashion industry just a week ago, André Leon Talley is wading back into it — this time, in the hopefully less thuggish world of wearable tech. After his Zappos contract was not renewed, the dinner-caftan-loving dandy has been hired by his pal Will.i.am. Per WWD, Talley will be the fashion and style director for i.am PULS, the singer/hologram’s smart bracelet. “He is one of the most positive, charismatic [people], and is a great visionary and philanthropist,” Talley said of the punctuation enthusiast. Hopefully the new post won’t eat into his time working on his upcoming memoir — working title: Enchanting Angels.
