Asked what the First Lady would wear for fall, J.Crew’s head of women’s design, Tom Mora, told Elle, “I’d bet on the wool coat embroidered with crystals … It’s practical but stately, and it will photograph beautifully on television. I also think she could get a lot of use out of the ivory wool slacks and sweater, because they’re simple and chic, and she’s a mom, so she needs clothes that are easy to run around in.” But where were all of the sashes she can fashion into belts and put into early retirement?
