For the past few days, Millie Bobby Brown has been rolling out several new looks to celebrate turning 21. For one, she’s a blonde now. For another, she seems to be leaning into a retro aesthetic, wearing her platinum locks in a Pamela Anderson–esque bun, putting ’90s-themed sticker effects on all her recent Instagram posts, and sporting a pink velour 1991 zip-up hoodie with plush pink pig slippers to the after-party for her new Netflix movie, The Electric State.
Fans are convinced this all means she’s playing Britney Spears in an upcoming biopic — a role she expressed interest in way back in 2022. When asked by Access Hollywood earlier this week if she still has interest in portraying the pop singer, Brown coyly said, “She is an absolute icon. I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story. But that’s her story, and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life … how she wants to.”
Meanwhile, Brown’s new style journey has elicited comparisons not just to Anderson but to Tori Spelling, Jennifer Coolidge, and Tana Mongeau. Is this just her growing up from child actor to adult? I’m all for it, though I’d urge her to keep her slippers indoors, for cleanliness reasons.
