Selena Gomez really got us. After telling fans that she’s “ready to just focus on” acting and that music will be “very hard” to return to following Emilia Pérez, she announced that she’ll be releasing a new album. Not just any album, though — one made in collaboration with her fiancé, Benny Blanco.
Titled I Said I Love You First, the duo’s joint album is set to release on March 21. In the Valentine’s Day spirit, the couple also dropped the album’s first single, “Scared of Loving You,” accompanied by a music video that appears to be the newly engaged couple just … lounging in bed. Easiest work day ever, I imagine.
“I always trick you guys 🥰 my NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco, is out on 3/21 🖤,” Gomez wrote in her announcement. “Our first song, Scared of Loving You is out now on all streaming platforms. Merchandise and signed products for the album are available for pre-order now. We can’t wait to share this special project with you soon!”
The album chronicles their entire love story, “giving fans a unique window into their relationship,” per a press release. Even though these two avidly share their relationship online, there’s still so much to learn — like how many times a week do they actually eat Taco Bell Mexican pizzas?
