The tattoos may be gone, but the spotlight is back on Pete Davidson. After ditching all the ink on his body, you would think he’d take a break and relax in his fresh skin, maybe go on a meditative retreat or finish out the winter hibernating. But no — Davidson was booked and busy this weekend, celebrating 50 years of Saturday Night Live, hanging out with new friends, and running into his ex. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
Davidson’s buddy of the weekend was none other than Kevin Costner, who he apparently became besties with after they connected at the Super Bowl. The pair was seen hugging on the SNL50 homecoming-concert red carpet at Radio City Music Hall on Friday, and the next day they attended Chris Rock’s star-studded 60th-birthday party together, according to “Page Six.” The latter was also attended by none other than Kim Kardashian, Davidson’s ex of two years. Sources informed “Page Six” that he left shortly after the Skims founder joined the celebration, although another source told the outlet her arrival was not the reason for his sharp exit.
Even if Davidson didn’t mean to escape so quickly after Kardashian showed up, the very next night they ended up in the same room yet again at the SNL50 after-party at the Plaza Hotel. While they weren’t photographed together, People reports that the former couple was spotted chatting. Were they discussing Kim’s acting career? Pete’s plans for his ferry? Or maybe his short-lived “My girl is a lawyer” tattoo? We’re not too sure. “He has nothing but love and respect for Kim,” a friend of Davidson’s told “Page Six,” adding that the chat was not romantic. “He hopes everyone can move on.”
