Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy has been arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, TMZ reported on Thursday.
Law enforcement officials in Burbank, California, told TMZ that police were dispatched to a home after receiving a call about an altercation between a man and a woman. According to TMZ, a witness saw Kennedy arguing with a woman and allegedly grabbing her. Officers say the woman did not sustain “visible injuries.” Though her identity has not been confirmed by law enforcement, TMZ reports that Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, were attending a holiday party at Kathy Hilton’s house on the night of the arrest.
Kennedy and Lewber have been dating since 2022, following Kennedy’s split with ex-fiancée and fellow Vanderpump star Rachel Leviss. In February, Lewber appeared on an episode of Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast, where she shut down rumors that Kennedy had been physically abusive to her during a car ride to an MTV after-party the year they started dating. “I know in the past that he has anger issues. So I get it,” Lewber told Shay at the time. “But I just want people to know that I’m good and I’m safe and I love him.”
According to TMZ, the reality star has been released after posting $20,000 in bail. The outlet says the Burbank City Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the case for potential charges.
