
On Wednesday, actress Michelle Trachtenberg died at the age of 39. The actress rose to prominence as a child star in the mid-’90s and went on to appear in movies like Ice Princess and Harriet the Spy and, later, hit shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl. “It is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away,” a representative for Trachtenberg said in a statement shared with several publications. “The family requests privacy for their loss.
Trachtenberg died of natural causes, according to ABC News. Police sources suggested she might have been experiencing complications from a recent liver transplant. Per the New York Post, the actress’s death is not being investigated as suspicious.
Celebrities, former co-stars, and others have flooded social media to give their condolences and react to her death.
