After making stops at the Paris Olympics, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala, and SNL, the Wicked promotional circus has landed at the home of Kim Kardashian. Notorious for going to extreme lengths for her kids, the 44-year-old invited the film’s stars, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, over for a private screening of the unreleased movie. Along with Kourtney, Khloé, and Kris Jenner, Kardashian spent some quality time with the actresses in matching PJs. Unsurprisingly, the evening doubled as an opportunity to promote Skims.
According to Stories posted to her Instagram, Kardashian hosted the “most magical pajama party” at her Calabasas home, which was attended by most of the KarJenner brood (minus Kendall). Kim’s place was decked out in pink balloon arches, bushels of pink hydrangeas, and an Elphaba-green carpet, on top of which sat cardboard cutouts of the film’s lead witches and stacks of Wicked Barbies and Funko dolls. Clothing racks were lined with Skims x Wicked–branded PJ sets (though to call the sets “green” would be generous).
Ostentatious decorations aside, I’m curious if Grande and Kardashian gabbed about their mutual and reportedly well-endowed ex, Pete Davidson. After all, nothing goes better with a movie night than popcorn and gossiping about the men who’ve hurt you. Regardless, it looks like the evening went off without a hitch, and the whole family seemed to enjoy the film. As Kourtney wrote in a gripping Instagram review, “I feel empowered!”
