10 Things You Don’t Have to Pay Full Price for This Weekend

Welcome to the first week of November, otherwise known as the official start to the holidays. “The season of the witch is precious, but she is fleeting,” as Shakespeare always said, so if it feels like you’re already somehow late on holiday shopping, you’re not alone. Many brands have already launched limited-edition gifts and some have immediately marked these fresh drops down. Couple this with the fact that if you do buy your winter needs now, you won’t be scrambling to calculate rush-shipping costs later. Ahead, shop the best sales happening this weekend.

Best Fashion Sales

Nordstrom

Nordstrom’s Holiday Deals (née Fall Sale) are officially live, with more markdowns dropping all month long. You can get 60 percent off everything from Ganni to Dries Van Noten to Loewe (okay, fine, just the men’s items) through November 29.

We’ve been eyeing Khaite’s bubble-lug boots, but this more affordable Wandler pair is a close cousin — and 60 percent off.

Madewell

Madewell’s sales are frequent, but because J.Crew’s cool little sister is a denim mecca, there’s something particularly appealing about these fall markdowns. With the SALEONSALE event, customers get an extra 20 percent off on select styles that are already discounted. Now, what to buy? The Perfect Vintage Jean really is good, with fits that include plus, petite, tall, and standard sizing.

J. Crew

Speaking of J.Crew, the brand’s pre–Black Friday sale is happening now — with 35 percent off certain styles with the code SHOPNOW — but there’s an even better slate of deals you can get. Every few days, the new Noah drops “Today’s Must-Have Deal,” and this week’s sale on the Teddy Sherpa Lady Coat is a good one.

Calpak

It’s not often that a wait-listed product will immediately be put on sale, but Calpak is blessing winter travelers by marking down its Luka Duffel. The big weekender bag has no less than nine pockets to house all the things (including your shoes) and a durable water-resistant exterior. The only catch is that this dream weekender is on sale for just two weeks: From November 1 to November 14, you can take 20 percent off each and every color it comes in.

Everlane

Everlane’s sale section is a treasure trove. The sustainable(ish) brand just dropped a holiday collection, and to make space celebrate, it’s marking down tons of styles, like this open-front cardigan. Prices are as marked — no promo code needed.

Best Beauty Sales

Sephora

Sephora’s Holiday Savings Event kicked off last week, but now the beauty floodgates are finally open to all Beauty Insiders. So as long as you’re cool with giving Sephora your email address, you can partake in the discounts — just remember to use the code SAVINGS at checkout. We’re getting Gucci’s photogenic polish as a little post-trick-or-treat for ourselves.

Amazon

Last call to shop Amazon’s third (third!!) sale in the last month. The Amazon Holiday Beauty Haul will run through November 6, meaning you still have time to score 40 percent off a bunch of beauty and personal-care items. Since we’re already feeling the literal itch of winter, we’d recommend this rich, calming cream from legendary French pharmacy brand Avène.

Best Home Sales

Anthropologie

If you plan on making Julie Powell proud by cooking your heart out this holiday season, Anthropologie’s Gratitude, Gifted sale is for you. The brand is marking up to 30 percent off new host and hostess gifts from November 1 through November 6. We think your oeufs à la Bourguignonne would look great in this tray from Matilda Goad & Co.

Buffy

Winter is wonderful because it alleviates people with night sweats of perhaps one or two less droplets a night. Yay! Buffy helps keep things a little cooler, with its Cloud Comforter that envelops you in a Goldilocks amount of weight and warmth. So if your current duvet has simply seen too much, you may want to jump on this early Black Friday deal.

Pottery Barn

Another brand marking down new winter items? Pottery Barn, which is throwing a massive Premier Event that gets you up to 70 percent off items. It’s running for two days only, so you’ll want to move fast on things like these popular throw blankets. They’re a little more Nora Ephron and a little less Joan Didion Loro Piana cashmere, but ’tis the season for rom-coms anyway.
