Another pandemic spring is on the horizon, and you know what that means: time to dye your hair pink (again).
Nearly one year ago, we marveled at the wonders of boxed hair dye and electric hair clippers as we collectively realized that we can do things to our own hair if we absolutely must. Now, we’re all a little older, a little wiser, and still very much deficient in the joy department, it seems, because the famous heads on our feeds are gravitating toward pink, the happiness-inducing hue, once again. The only difference is this time, they’re going even harder.
2020’s pinks were a mix of powdery, cotton-candy pastels and fading fuchsias. This year, the celebs are cranking up the brightness and really committing with hot, hot pink from root to tip. The statement-making hair color is already proving to be surprisingly versatile. It’s easy to match to your makeup, like Naomi Osaka’s excellent negative-space graphic eyeliner, and even easier to match to your tops, like Shakira’s long-sleeved striped number.
The shade can also spice up any style, like Taraji P. Henson’s space buns, and pairs especially well with dark brows and a beard, as seen on Maluma. It pairs so well, in fact, that HollywoodLife reports Scott Disick asked the singer’s barber, Luis Rivera, for the same look. Scroll through the hot pink shots to be similarly influenced and/or melt away any lingering winter blues.
