Leave it to Givenchy — one of Meghan Markle’s preferred fashion houses — to turn the most quotidian, unstylish parts of urban life into an opportunity for glamour. The clothes in Clare Waight Keller’s pre–spring 2020 collection explore “travel through urban environments and today’s on-the-go, city-hopping lifestyle.” But the campaign really hammers the idea home.
Shot in the streets of Paris, the Givenchy men and women wear bright-red coats, sumptuous suits, and even some jeans. Of course, there are a few anomalies like ballgowns and kelly-green stirrup pants, but this is a fashion fantasy, after all. The video below shows off the collection, including new leather accessories that the Givenchy customer will love — regardless of how often you wear a ballgown on your morning walk.
