The Most Mesmezering Hair and Makeup Looks at Cannes
Can you believe it? It’s almost as if half of the celebrities from this year’s Met Gala packed their bags for Cannes. Overnight, they traded in their finest papal-inspired gowns for breezy, colorful dresses, and the film festival’s photographers-only press corps was there to capture it all (apparently video journalists aren’t chic in Cannes, and aren’t allowed on the red carpet).
Naturally, Cannes festivalgoers like Lupita Nyong’o, Marion Cotillard, and Cate Blanchett whipped up their best seaside makeup and hairdos for the fancy two-week event that ends this Thursday. The ever-creative Nyong’o paired shimmery floating eyeliner with full, textured hair, and Blanchett kept a cool façade with sunglasses and loose waves. Cotillard stunned in a bright red lip, as did Aishwarya Rai, Amber Heard, Fan Bingbing, and models Sara Sampaio, Joan Smalls, Jasmine Tookes, Adriana Lima, and Bella Hadid.
Kristen Stewart was really fun to watch, and not just because she walked the red carpet barefoot. Ahead of one movie premiere, she twisted her chin-length hair into a whimsical, curly bun (her accidental frosted tips are long gone, but the memory of them will last forever).
