The Cut can exclusively share that Charlotte Tilbury is releasing a line of royal-themed lipsticks, and our obsession with all things regal just grew by three. Tilbury says the lipsticks are “perfect for every royal outing in your diary,” but they’ll be just as good for heading over to your friend’s house to watch the Lifetime movie, Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story, before the actual nuptials.
The collection includes three monarchy-themed shades, two of which are brand new. The Queen, released in 2016, is a rich, jewel-toned pink inspired by her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The new Legendary Queen is a deep wine color, and almost as long-lasting as a sovereign. The formula for this moody hue includes tree oils and orchid extracts to soften and protect lips, as well as 3D pigments to give the appearance of illumination from within, so lips appear fuller and wider. The second new shade is a natural, dusty pink called The Duchess, which contains light-diffusing pigments for a hint of shimmer. It would look great on either Duchess Catherine (a.k.a Kate Middleton) or the soon-to-become Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
All three shades wear well for any time of day or night — we wouldn’t blame you if you fell asleep in them like Tilbury often does. The three Royals lipsticks are sold individually and as a collection.
