Clinique and Marimekko Are Teaming Up on a Print-Happy Collection

Finnish textile design house Marimekko will add a dose of color to Clinique’s most popular beauty essentials. The two companies have teamed up to create the Marimekko for Clinique Limited-Edition Collection.

Marimekko picked ten archival prints to feature on the cap of 20 shades of lip gloss and around the tube of ten shades of lipstick. The patterns were designed by Annika Rimala in the 1960s and 1970s. One design, Papajo, was inspired by Rimala’s 1964 trip to the Mayan temples in Mexico.

The Pop Slash Lip Gloss + Hydration glosses are lightweight, with watermelon extract for hydration. The glosses can be worn alone or applied on top of the Pop Lip Colour + Primer lipsticks. The lip gloss and lipstick shades all have effervescent-sounding names like Melon Pop (coral), Sangria Pop (deep violet), and Sorbet Pop (toffee nude).

The line is available online now and in stores in February.
