The inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men’s may have come and gone this summer without many locals noticing, but that doesn’t mean New York men are impervious to trends. One look they have down pat: the gingham shirt, seen worn with khakis at the office, worn with jeans at the bar, and worn with a tie at formal events.
Whether the shirt in question is the J.Crew classic or a trendy version from Burberry Prorsum, the style is popular for good reason: It’s all-American and requires minimal effort. We rounded up some regular guys who’ve been known to wear gingham in their daily lives, and asked them to model some of the best shirts currently in stores.
