162 Designers Reveal Their Spring 2016 Inspirations
Gird your loins: New York Fashion Week starts next week, which means it’s time for our seasonal feature “One Word, One Shot.” We convinced 162 designers to give us a sneak peek at what we’ll see on the runways for fall 2016 by encapsulating their inspiration in just one phrase and one image. This time around, A.L.C. looked to Fiona Apple, and Creatures of Comfort studied the lines of Le Corbusier. Hood by Air was struck by an Instagram, while Eckhaus Latta wondered, “Who’s paying for all this?” And, as always, location was key: Angkor sparked ideas for Tory Burch; Buenos Aires for Badgley Mischka; Côte d’Azur for Frame Denim.
