Mary Katrantzou Partied at Bergdorf Goodman Last Night

Mary Katrantzou doesn’t frequent New York often, but you’d never know it. At the intimate dinner held in her honor at Bergdorf Goodman’s BG restaurant last night, the London-based designer made the rounds, greeting and chatting up each guest as if she were at home with old friends. The occasion was to fête her ongoing relationship with the retailer (where Katrantzou has amassed a devoted client base), and the setting was decked out in brilliant tangerine and vermilion flowers, a nod to her feminine and colorful designs. After dinner, the crowd lingered to talk more with the guest of honor, who tried to corral all elsewhere for a nightcap, as any good hostess would.
