Before the street-style games begin anew in 2015, let’s look back on the year that was: a dizzying array of photographer-bait-worthy clothes, kooky shoes, and flashy accessories. It started off last February in the midst of the polar vortex, forcing every practical person (minus Michelle Harper) to swap the heels for sensible sneakers or snow boots and bundle up in massive furs. Speaking of sneakers, they turned into the most major and relatable street-style trend, with everyone from Caroline de Maigret to Taylor Tomasi Hill showing up to show after show in Nikes, Stan Smiths, and fancy Chanel versions. The ubiquitous presence of kicks coincided with the rise of normcore, which hit its peak during the sweltering September shows. Also really popular in September: pregnancy. Eva Chen, Miroslava Duma, and Yasmin Sewell were spotted with ever-growing bellies. Click ahead to find out who reigned supreme in 2014.
