Like a demented fashion Captain Planet, John Galliano is putting together a group of former cronies in preparation for his first collection as creative director at Maison Martin Margiela. WWD reports that he is putting together a group that includes Vanessa Bellanger, whom the paper describes as a “Dior muse and co-conspirator” (there’s a LinkedIn-friendly job title for you) and Rafaele Hardy, who previously ran Galliano’s atelier. However, in response to the report, a Margiela spokesperson told WWD, “we are still considering ourselves as a collective under the guidance of a creative director.” Does that mean we can expect that muse and co-conspirator to don a lab coat?
