There are just 12 lightly sweaty, Canadian minutes separating you from looking like Helen Mirren. Yahoo Celebrity reports that Mirren looks like this because she follows a 12-minute workout plan originally devised for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
“I do a thing that leads me into exercise. It is the Royal Canadian Air Force exercise plan; it is 12 minutes and they have charts you follow,” Mirren told reporters when asked about her fitness routine. “It is the exercise I have done off and on my whole life. It just very gently gets you fit.’” According to this chart, “gentle fitness” includes air circles, running and hopping, and partial sit-ups. All exercises are, incidentally, gentle enough to be done in $25 stripper heels.
